Former Barcelona star Salinas slams Cristiano Ronaldo: He has never been the best!

Former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid star Julio Salinas has berated Cristiano Ronaldo's achievement with both club and country. 

Salinas feels Ronaldo's claim of been the best player in history is absurd, knowing they where better players before him who have won bigger trophies than him. 

Culled from his Twitter page, Julio Salinas tweeted: "Just because you're very good, that doesn't mean you;re the best, as you've had the bad luck of coinciding with the great Messi. 

"Sincerely, i don't think you are on the podium of the best in history, as there are quite a few who'd surpass you. Comfort yourself with these Ballon d'Or awards (Something you have not deserved)".

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has thanked his friends and closet allies at Manchester United who really spurned him to the top. 

Ronaldo has set a unique record by becoming the first Portuguese to win Five Ballon d'Or, he also shares the same record with Barcelona star Lionel Messi. 

Expressing his delight after winning the award, Ronaldo said: 

"Since i was 14,15 or 16 years old  i knew that i was different from other kids", Ronaldo told French Magazine. 

"I realized that i was good at Manchester United, when i played with Players like Giggs, Keane or Ferdinand. I had talent. 

"The English mentality is different and those people helped me a lot to be what i am now. I have to thank my colleagues in Manchester". 

Ronaldo was able to win 9 trophies at Manchester United including the 3 Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. 




Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo reveals he was 'sad and angry with Lionel Messi for 4 years'

Portugal and Real Madrid sensation has revealed he once envied Lionel Messi's successive Ballon d'Or wins. 

Ronaldo won the 2009 Ballon d'Or while plying his trade with Manchester United but after, he watched with envy as Lionel Messi won it four times consecutive which, almost demoralized him.

Fed up with the consistent cooked up story about Barcelona reaching an agreement with Liverpool to sell thier prized asset Philippe Coutinho, Jurgen Klopp has called on the media to stop the baseless story. 

Coutinho won't be leaving Liverpool in the January, echoes Klopp, cause he wants his best players focused and fully motivated to win titles for the club.
