Brazil's win over Costa Rica proves Firmino is better that G. Jesus

Tite's decision to play G. Jesus ahead of Roberto Firmino in the Brazilian line up is looking strange as the competition progresses.
Jesus is a good striker who is quick in attack and clinical in finishing but those attributes are not comparable to what Firmino brings to a team.
Against Costa Rica, Firmino showed the world what he can do with or without the ball, he presses the and stretches to give space for other attacks to score. Mohamed Salah wouldn't have been a household name without Firmino creating those chances for him to score.  In just 20 minutes of his introduction, Firmino created the first Brazil goal by knocking down Marcelo's cross from the left for G. Jesus whose failed controled allowed Philippe Coutinho to burst through and score.
And in the build up to the second goal, he was instrumental in getting the ball to Douglas Costa who found Neymar and feed it him to score. Without doubt, Firmino was decisive in Brazil's win over Costa Rica making him the mos…

Coutinho and Neymar strikes late to win it for Brazil and knock Costa Rica out of the World Cup

Brazil have defeated Costa Rica 2-0 at the Saint Petersburg Stadium to move top of Group E with 4 points.

They victory over Central America neigbours means that Costa Rica are out of the World Cup regardless of what play against Switzerland in their last match.
Costa Rica are a difficult team to beat and their defensive setup frustrated Brazil thought out the 90 minute. Neymar and others did create lots of goal scorign chances but, Keylor Navas and his defenders where prepared for whatever Tite has planned for them.
Brazil huffed and puffed and in the 91st minute, Philippe Coutinho raced forward and smashed in a loose ball to give Brazil a 1-0 nill lead. Six minutes later, Neymar added a second goal to all but condemn Costa Rica to brutal defeat. The world's most expensive player could be seeing crying after the final whistle after working so hard and getting fouled every passing minute just to get his minute across the finish line.
His idol Lionel Messi might have failed his nation…

Following Messi's path; Neymar and Brazil set to exist the World Cup

Neymar could be the second high profile player to exist the World after Lionel Messi and Argentina failed woefully against Croatia.

Brazil who drawn their first game with Switzerland must win their second game against Costa Rica or will exist the competition.

If they draw a second consecutive game and Switzerland succeeds in beating Serbia in their next game, there's a probability Brazil will be out of the competition before their final game against Serbia.

The only option Tite and his men have now is a win. Brazil's most dependable player Neymar must ditch Lionel Messi's path and forge his own by leading his nation to the round of 16.

Messi failed with Argentina, Neymar has to succeed. The match is live now and the afterthought will be analyzed after the full ninety minutes.

Willy Cabellero's howler against Croatia gives Loris Karius a strong case to work with

In just two weeks, two high profile goalkeepers have made mistakes in the biggest stage of all, the World CUP.

First it was De Gea who failed to palm Cristiano Ronaldo's fierce shoot which flow into the net and now, Willy Cabellero has shocked not just Argentina but the World who watched him chip a pass to A. Rebic who volleyed home nicely.
Its now obvious that all keeprs make high profile mistakes, some do it in a Champions League final and others in World Cup. But what matters is how they recover from that shamble and become better goalkeepers.
Regardless of who Liverpool sign this summer as their number 1 goalkeeper, Loris Karius will still get his chance in-between the stick at Anfield to prove to many doubters he is still good enough to remain at the club.
He should know that mistakes are bound to happen in life, we all humans. There's no doubt, he will come back stronger, fitter and sharper.

Pathetic! Argentina hopes of progressing now hangs on Nigeria vs Iceland clash

Croatia will likely finish as Group D winners after winning two of group D matches. They defeated Nigeria 2-0 before crushing Lionel Messi lead Argentina 3-0.

2002 was the last time Argentina failed to win their group, Messi have never finished second before in a World Cup group. But this time around, he will have to pray to finish second in the group.
Lionel Messi has disappointed so far, compared his arch rival Crisitano Ronaldo who has lead Portugal to consecutive wins. First with a hat-trick against Spain and a single goal against Morocco.
In group D, Nigeria will play Iceland next and a win will strength their cause while a defeat will ultimately end their World Cup campaign. Iceland meanwhile, will be hoping to beat Nigeria knowing that Croatia is an end road, they won't win that game.
The second spot is still up for grabs and three nations will be fighting for spot including World Cup favourites- Argentina.

Croatian golden generation crush Argentina 3-0 to book thier ticket for the next round !

Croatia has qualified to the round 16 after crushing Argentina 3-0 at the Novgorod stadium.

The 3-0 win defeat is the biggest defeat Argentina have surfaced over 60 years, the last time they lost more than 3 goals was in 1958 against Czeksloviaka 6-1.

Nobody would have predicted this win, talk more of the scoreline but the signs earlier on in the game showed visible weakness in Argentina's back line.

First was from Willy Caballero whose pathetic passes flew high for A. Rebic to volley and give the Croatian a 1-0 win. That was his first goal for Croatia in over 5 years.

In the 80th minute, Luka Modric scored a thunderbolt to stun Lionel Messi and others and put the game out of touch.

Tackles, fouls and yellow cards flew over the pitch but the most intersting view of the day was seeing a heavily tattooed Jorge Sampaoli remonstrating up and down the pitch. He knew just like everyone else watching that his present Argentina team is the worst ever seen in the World Cup.

To compel Argent…
